Mindfulness is a foundational and life-shifting approach to reducing stress and accessing happiness and health. A mindfulness practice connects us to ourselves and the world - making it a tool for healing at the individual and collective level. Research has supported its use in physical and mental health for over thirty years and its origins date back thousands. Simply defined, mindfulness is placing one's attention on the present moment experience, on purpose, with kindness and curiosity. Click here for details. Or here.
Emily feels fortunate to have been introduced to mindfulness practices as a young person and twice-fortunate to have rediscovered their benefits as an adult. She believes we are all constantly rediscovering mindfulness, and is fascinated by the gentle power of reconnecting to the present moment, each time. She has formally studied meditation for seven years, is a graduate of The Interdependence Project's Meditation Teacher Training Program, and is a Certified Mindful Schools Instructor.
