Emily is a somatic-focused psychotherapist and educator who is honored to witness the innate intelligence of the human body, heart, and spirit daily. She believes our inherent wisdom flourishes when resources are available and she is inspired by the potential for groups of people to envision such conditions and create equitable access to health and safety for all.
Emily completed graduate programs in Clinical Social Work and Childhood Education. She has pursued deep study in mindfulness, trauma resolution, and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and has been active in social justice work since 2004. Emily has designed curriculum, facilitated, and consulted with the New York City Department of Education, Montgomery, Alabama Public Schools, Arizona Public Schools, and various organizations. She lives in Southern Arizona where she and some incredible colleagues integrate trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and transformative approaches into work with individuals and community organizing projects. Emily is deeply thankful for the teachers and mentors upon whose foundational support and wisdom she walks.
